2nd Shift Supervisor

Janitronics Building Services, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor in the Janitorial Services industry to join our dynamic team in the Boston Seaport District. We are seeking candidates with the right balance management skills, along with superior customer service skills.

Overview

The Supervisor will oversee the 2nd Shift Monday through Friday and on call on weekends. Hours may vary based on business demand and resource needs. The Supervisor reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for the following activities under the direction and guidance of the Account Manager:

Job Responsibilities

• Determine, approve and monitor staffing levels.
• Provide constructive feedback to staff on a continuous basis.
• Minimize staff turnover at client site by communicating, overseeing training programs and by serving as a key employee relations point of contact.
• Maintain outdoor grounds in winter and summer season.
• Conduct on-site inspections and ensure each property/building is consistently maintained to the customers/client’s high expectations.
• Ensure customers/clients receive the highest level of service.
• Escalate client complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Manage client relationships, maintain high satisfaction level with current services and seek to provide more services where possible.

Requirements

• The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the management of the site account, specific responsibilities include:
  • work-scheduling shift personnel
  • establishing work standards in conjunction with the Site Manager
  • conducting site evaluations/audits
  • overall inventory/equipment usage
  • trouble-shooting/problem solving
  • safety training personnel
  • customer relations
  • payroll
  • and special project work as requested
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish
• One to two years of supervisory experience, and up-to-date knowledge of cleaning practices/procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• Motivated individual and proactive
• Background check required
