Janitronics Gives Back: Honoring Heroes with Wreaths Across America

On December 14, Janitronics Building Services concluded a year of community service by participating in Wreaths Across America at the historic Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham, MA.

Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization with a mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach future generations about the sacrifices made for our freedom. Each year, they coordinate wreath-laying ceremonies at over 4,600 locations nationwide, bringing communities together to pay tribute to our nation’s heroes.

On a crisp Saturday morning, 20 volunteers from Janitronics Building Services gathered at the cemetery. Some of us even brought our children along, hoping to help them understand and appreciate the sacrifices made for the freedoms we are so privileged to enjoy. The day began with fresh coffee and pastries to warm us up, as volunteers arrived one by one, ready to take part in this meaningful tradition.

Before setting out to place wreaths on the graves of fallen heroes, we participated in a moving ceremony led by the Mayor of Waltham, who greeted the veterans in attendance and thanked them for their service. This heartfelt moment set the tone for the day, reminding us all of the importance of remembering and honoring those who served our country.

With wreaths in hand, we walked together through the cemetery to carefully lay wreaths at the resting places of service members. It was a humbling experience, as we reflected on their sacrifices and the legacy they left behind.

We are proud to have been part of Wreaths Across America and grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community. This day was not just about laying wreaths — it was about showing respect, teaching the next generation, and ensuring that the memory of our heroes lives on.
